Remo Kanjira Key Tuned 7" Diameter 2" Depth Antique Veneer

The Traditional Kanjira features the authentic sound of the original South Indian Kanjira with enhanced low frequencies and crisp slap tones. Constructed with an Acousticon shell, a synthetic Skyndeep lizard skin graphic drumhead, a 1-inch flat jingle set and a 30-degree radial bearing edge. The Traditional Kanjira can be tuned easily by inserting a 5/64” hex key (included) into a recessed key hole and rotating the key in small increments. This enables the player to achieve a low pitch while bending and modulating the drumhead exactly like the original without being affected by changes in climate. The Kanjira fits comfortably in the player’s hand and features a dry tone with short decay. Ideal for traditional Indian musical applications. Available in antique brown wood grain stained finish.
